Welcome to my homepage. I have been at IIT Gandhinagar since July 2018.
My current areas of research interest are in the application of thermodynamics and heat and mass transfer to modeling and design of energy systems. A key area of focus is on energy effciency of desalination and water treatment technologies. Since March 2019, I am the occupant of the Kanchan and Harilal Doshi chair for Water and Sanitation. You can find more information on my academic persuits elsewhere on this site.
I am also affiliated with the institute's Centre for Sustainable Development, and help organize the centre's activities aimed towards connecting related research at IITGN with end-users and practitioners.

After my PhD, I spent a year at MIT in the Lienhard Research Group as a Tata Center Fellow, working on industrially relevant problems such as vacuum membrane distillation system design and industrial effluent recycling.
